In the midst of
the madness of my final college career days, I find myself getting distracted
by everything…except homework. Suddenly, staring at walls seems pretty
interesting. And contemplating the minute questions of my everyday existence is even more
fascinating. Here are some of the questions I’ve asked myself and pondered over
pointlessly in the past few days:
·
Why do we have food flavored like other food? For
example, why is there cereal flavored like cinnamon rolls? Why don’t we just
eat a cinnamon roll?
·
How the heck does a TV signal work? You can
stick an antenna on top of a television and it will just “pick up” shows.
Madness!
·
Why do imaginary numbers exist? Is it because
those awkward kids who had imaginary friends grew up to be mathematicians and
made up imaginary numbers?
·
What’s up with silent letters in words? Like
gnats…do we need the g there? Really? Because I’m going to pronounce it if it’s
there. Example: “I hate guh-nats! They’re guh-nasty!”
·
Why can’t girls just wear a mask and a wig every
day and not have to do their hair and makeup? Oh yeah…because they’d look like
clowns. I answered that one on my own.
Anyways, while my GPA has been
plummeting to the depths of the Mariana Trench, I’ve clearly been thinking
through the important questions of life. The question of what to do with my
life after college…yeah, I think I’ll wonder about how people invented cheese
instead.
I don't particularly understand flavoring stuff like cinnamon rolls... but everything should be available in bacon flavor. Life would be amazing.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about staring at walls... suddenly cleaning my room is a pressing issue, I absolutely -have- to make myself a sandwich at a random time, and I ride my bike the long way around the lake to avoid going back to my room to do homework.
Such an exciting time...never suppress your inner-dreamer
ReplyDeleteIf it is any comfort, i even get distracted at work, imagine that??
ReplyDeleteThanks for reminding me about imaginary numbers. I almost cared enough to Google them, then I realized I'd fall into your evil mind trap myself.
